Rosemary & Caraway Patty Melts

Sometimes a new twist to an old favorite is needed... time to re-make the Patty Melt!

I am obsessed with good bread and flavorful herbs - so the rosemary Sourdough from Essential Baking Co. and Caraway Havarti will make this sandwich out of this world!

What you will need for 4 servings:

  • 1 lb ground beef/4 veggie patties
  • 8 slices Rosemary Sourdough bread
  • 4 oz Caraway Havarti cheese, sliced
  • 1 whole onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon mayo
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoons diced dill pickle
  • salt & pepper to taste
Dice the onion.

Saute on low with olive oil until softened.

Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
Form into patties slightly larger then the bread.

Grill the burger patties.
While the burgers are grilling, mix together the mustard's, mayo and pickle so make a sauce and slice the cheese.

Top the patties with the sauteed onion and the cheese, cook for a few more minutes allowing it to melt.

Spray the outsides of 2 pieces of bread with cooking spray, or spread them with butter.
Grill in a large pan until browned.

Spread the sauce on both sides of the toasted bread and place the burger patty in between.

Slice and serve!
